In Love

Writer's picture: Theresa BaxterTheresa Baxter

When I think of you

I blush a pinkish hue

People wonder why

There’s a sparkle in my eye

A smile sneaks cross my face

If reading I lose my place

I linger on your every word

Your voice the sweetest sound I’ve heard

You’re like a dish that drips from chin

Savored slow and reveled in

How lucky for companionship

Your tender kiss upon my lip

And should you spend too long away

Lowly dirges I would play

Upon return I’ll brightly sing

For your love is my everything!
