All good in this world
The joy and the sweet
Feels inadequate
Like a thought incomplete
An unfinished sentence
That is full of intention
Goes misunderstood
Without needed inflection
A person can wallow
Isolated in oneness
Their echoing thoughts
Will turn into numbness
Shake off ennui
Clear head of its trappings
You mustn’t waste time
Vainly grumbling and snapping
For fleeting are moments
We wish we had savoured
Why grieve about choices
Over which we have laboured
Find your inner stoutness
That hasn’t retreated
Become idealistic
And your woes be defeated
Snatch dominion from clutches
That would see you forlorn
You will be for the better
Redeemed and reborn!
