Gluttony

The time of year that you’ll agree

Exemplifies pure gluttony

Does fast approach with excess wealth

That often risks our fragile health

Without much thought we will indulge

And soon our waists will bloat and bulge

We think we’ve earned the right to treat

To satiate our love to eat

Yet imbibe too much is such a vice

And often ends with nothing nice

You must control voracity

Or you might croak from gluttony!
