Salad Freak

Writer: Theresa BaxterTheresa Baxter

I am a salad freak

I eat until my cheek

Is stuffed with veggies green

My colon nice and clean

Its healthy points are valid

But there’s way more to a salad

There’s hearty and there’s light

And the perk of eating “right”

The crunchy and the tender

A dressing blitzed in blender

A cobb or caesar’s great

An ambrosia fills my plate

The age of salad’s back

For a meal, or late night snack

Some think it’s food for rabbit

Who cares, you make, I’ll grab it!
