The Argument

Writer: Theresa BaxterTheresa Baxter

I don’t know how it started

Nor sure how it will end

An argument that makes no sense

That creates foe out of friend

It’s heated and irrational

The words fly free from cool

Disagreements tend to turn

The sane into a fool

We all have times of bickering

It’s human to fall out

But we can settle differences

Without the need to shout

So next time rows begin to churn

And a fuss turns into fight

Compose yourself and turn that cheek

For two wrongs don’t make right!
