Breakaway

Nature needs no filter

No enhancement beyond eyes

The dusty rose of coming eve

The gray before sunrise

The world is surface-facing

Fingers graze in passing

The textures rough and polished

In such unyielding fashion

Awake while lost, sleepwalking

A thousand lifetimes tasted

The earth that breathes as if alive

Has never moment wasted

And yet we live in cages

A vault of our own making

Implore I do break down the walls

From trance we must awaken!
