Seek No More

Writer: Theresa BaxterTheresa Baxter

I have a friend, means much to me

Connection true as deep blue sea

As sure as stone and vast as sky

Amazed how we see eye to eye

Yet comes from world that I know naught

Expanded heart, just as I ought

She’s faced her struggles, triumphed so Yet always there when spirit’s low

She’s taught me that no matter when In life she’s there, my trusted friend

My circle still remains quite tight

It’s sometimes best to “travel light”

But there are those you can’t deny

Just fully fit, without a try

Passed many years, I see no end

To where our paths, in sync, might wend

We might be older, prone to pangs

Her yin is perfect to my yang

To tend our bond is never chore…

For kindred soul, I seek no more
